Every Sale Contributes to Rural Education of Bangladesh

In the lush green landscapes of Sylhet, a visionary and a true philanthropist at heart Dr. Syed Mokbul Hussain felt the children in the remote areas were being deprived of the basic human need – education. In his attempt to serve his community he founded 5 schools and a college in a span of 20 years, the first one being built in the year 1982.
Realizing the potential of art to generate funds and awareness, Dhaka Storytellers has expanded its efforts. Syeda Adiba Hussain, the Co-Founder of Dhaka Storytellers is now carrying forward the philanthropic legacy of her visionary father to educate the rural students in north-eastern part of Bangladesh. In that attempt Dhaka Storytellers will be donating a fraction of the proceeds from the sales of the artworks exhibited at group art exhibition The Story of Art; the money will be used to fund the schools in Sylhet.
Dhaka Storytellers believes that art could be more than just a form of expression; it could be a tool for change, a way to uplift the underprivileged, and a means to fund education in areas where access to schools was often a distant dream.
